The Uganda Wildlife Authority together with Uganda Tourism Board and other strategic partners in the Gorilla Highlands is hosting Rwanda tour operators to a Destination Uganda familiarization trip in the spirit of promoting East Africa as a single destination. One of the benefits of promoting the region as a single destination is the use of the single East Africa tourist visa. At only US$100, a tourist can move between Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya on a single visa valid for 90 days. The regional tourism marketing efforts are carried out under the Joint Tourism Marketing Committee, which is under the Northern Corridor Infrastructure Project. With Kigali International Airport of Rwanda just a few hours away from most of Uganda’s sout western tourist attractions, adding the western circuit to the Rwandan itinerary gives variety to visitors.

The fam trip with the Rwanda operators runs from May 24-29, 2016. They will be visiting key tourism attractions in Southwestern Uganda including Queen Elizabeth National Park. Below is the list of companies on the fam trip.
