The India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Ltd. announced the appointment of a new General Manager at The Ashok New Delhi, the flagship of the ITDC.
Shri Vijay Dutt was named as the GM and brings with him nearly three decades of experience. Mr. Dutt is known for his excellent leadership skills, innovative thinking, and creative approach. With 28
years of extensive experience, he brings a wealth of industry knowledge in the luxury hotel segment.
In his previous roles, he held senior management positions as General Manager of the Lalitha Mahal Palace, Mysore, as well as Resident Manager of The Ashok, New Delhi and Corporate Marketing where he led the operation teams to drive sales and service to excellence.
With an ability to handle different fortes at various managerial roles, Mr. Dutt will now be responsible for managing the country’s most iconic and legendary hotel.
As part of the revamp, the hotel has also hired a new Resident Manager and Marketing & PR Chief. Mr. Anmol Zutshi has been appointed as Resident Manager, and has 28 years of experience in hospitality since he joined as a management trainee at ITDC. He previously served as a General Manager at Hyderabad House, where he successfully handled the visits of world leaders such as US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President François Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as other dignitaries and official delegations.
Mr. Rajiv Anand was named as the new head of Corporate Marketing and Sales & Public Relations, Advertising and Culture divisions. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in which he has worked at various positions in different divisions of ITDC, including marketing and hotel sales, hotels, duty-free trade, and corporate services, as well as tours and travels.
