“I love Seychelles, and I will always,โ€ Maria Moscaroli said this with so much happiness when she met the Chief Executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Naiken, recently. Those were her last words before she left the office of the Seychelles Tourism Boardโ€™s Chief Executive, Sherin Naiken, when she paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters.

She spoke about Seychelles with so much passion, and it truly reflected that indeed Maria had given Seychelles a special place in her heart.

Hailing from Italy, Maria left her hometown in the capital city Rome in 1999 to travel to Seychelles for her wedding anniversary.

The minute I set foot there, I knew I had chosen the ideal place. Seychelles is a paradise for couples and newlyweds, she said.

โ€œI love everything about this country. The Seychellois people are special in every way. Their warmth, smiles, and hospitality make them a unique nation,โ€ she added.

โ€œFrom the beautiful green covers of the mountains, to the aroma of the forests, [and] the clean fresh air. From the charm, the beauty of its people, its culture, and the delicious spicy creole dishes. You name it, Seychelles has it all.

โ€œSeychelles has changed my life. I have traveled to other parts of the world. I have been to other places in the Indian Ocean, but to me, Seychelles is the best,โ€ she said smiling.

Her husband, Luigi, loves the unique flora and fauna of Seychelles and just like Maria, he says he will not change Seychelles for any other holiday destination.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
