Guests were let back into the hotel at 11:40 pm, with the front desk confirming that it was merely a test.

The hotel operator was not available during the emergency and Hyatt Central reservation had no information. eTN was later informed a fire alarm was triggered by a guest in error and caused the alarm system to initiate. According to a Hyatt spokesperson the safety of guests are the highest priority and without knowing the cause of the alarm an evacuation is mandatory.
