MIAMI BEACH, FL – It is widely accepted that the time between March and May is the best season to enjoy the beauty of Miami and its cousin, Key West.

The sun tends to shine brightly taking the average temperatures to a comfortable range between the 70s and 80s. Moreover, tourists will be avoiding the peak rates that are common during the winter season. Even though it is spring break, Key West tends not to be high on the list of places to visit for the young generation.

There are also various festivals to enjoy during this period. In Miami, there is the Ultra Music Festival and Winter Party to look out for. As for Key West, you can enjoy the ConchFest.

However, as these events take place in March, you have missed out on them if you are visiting now. However, there are still two events that you can make it to. There is the Miami Beach International Fashion Week. You might be able to make to the Key West Songwriter’s Festival happening during May this year. Keep in mind that the accommodation rates will be on the rise for these events. Of course, you are still looking for a place to visit, that means you have missed out on the historic cruise to Cuba from Miami.

You shouldn’t worry as the cruise will now be operating regularly with the ship departing every alternate Sunday afternoon. If you want to spend some time under the sun on the beach, Miami is the best bet.

There is a range of beaches in the city such as the famed South Beach. Other points of interest are Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road Mall and a number of parks. In Key West, there are historic spots to visit and cultural activities to participate in. You can always go from Miami to Key West with the help of a designated bus tour or by car.
