Hong Kong Airlines flight turns back due to severe turbulence

JAKARTA, Indonesia – A Hong Kong Airlines flight heading from Denpasar, Bali, to Hong Kong experienced severe turbulence over Borneo and had to turn around and land back at Ngurah Rai Airport.

JAKARTA, Indonesia – A Hong Kong Airlines flight heading from Denpasar, Bali, to Hong Kong experienced severe turbulence over Borneo and had to turn around and land back at Ngurah Rai Airport.

Three ambulances were sent to help in evacuating the passengers and crew, totaling 216 people. Three passengers suffered serious injuries, with 11 people sent to the nearest hospital, while 14 suffered minor injuries and were treated at a nearby clinic.
