On April 16, 2016, a huge 7.8 magnitude struck Ecuador. Many aftershocks, many of them massive as well, have happened since then, wreaking havoc in the tourist fishing ports and coastal town of Muisne and Pedernales. The quakes also were felt in the country’s capital of Quito.
The death toll has reached over 400 and thousands are displaced.
Here, images show the devastation that no words can describe.
