Pacific World, the integrated global DMC and Event Management organization, which operates in 34 countries, today announced a major growth milestone in India. All Meetings & Events business units of the Le Passage To India will move under the global Pacific World brand. In parallel, Pacific World announced the extension of its partnership in China with TUI China.

From 1st April 2016, the relationship with LPTI and the foothold in India has been further strengthened by merging the incoming and outgoing Meeting & Incentive verticals of the business. The incoming incentive business brand โ€œMintcentiveโ€ and the outgoing business brand โ€œTUI- Meetings & Incentivesโ€ have been merged to form one entity โ€œPacific World India.” The single entity under the Pacific World brand will be headed by Naveen Rizvi, Executive Director Pacific World India. Le Passage To India and Pacific World are both part of Destination Services, business unit of Hotelbeds Group.

Selina Chavry, Global Managing Director Pacific World, commented, โ€œIndia is one of the worldโ€™s largest Business Events market, China as well. Pacific World is now taking a leaderโ€™s position in those markets for the future 5-10 years. Pacific World and LPTI clients will benefit from a one-stop shop offering for their meetings, events, incentives, congresses whether domestic, outbound and inbound.”

Herve Joseph-Antoine, Pacific World Chairman, added, โ€œIn India, similarly to China and South East Asia, business practices have dramatically changed and require compliance to business ethics, anti-corruption, and financial transparency. Recent fines and ongoing investigations from local governments, especially with US headquartered multinationals have set new expectations, away from the past. Old practices of gifts to clients, business with families and friends, facilitation payments to authorities, are now disappearing with an older generation of operators.โ€

Pacific World in India is now the only company to offer those guarantees of compliance, global service and creativity standards, as well the unique coverage of the Indian territory with 8 branch offices throughout the country beyond Delhi and Mumbai.

Mario Habig, Managing Director of Le Passage said, โ€œThis is a unique opportunity for LPTI and Pacific World to take the number one position in the Indian Meetings & Events market, domestic, outbound, inbound. By focusing our Meetings & Incentives branding on Pacific World India and further integrating our 100 specialised colleagues into Pacific World, we will be better positioned to leverage the global strength of Pacific World to deliver to all our clientsโ€™ requirements.โ€
