Gulf Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition
Technology & Event Services Village @ GIBTM goes from strength to strength
Following the successful introduction last year at Gulf Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) of the Technology & Event Services Village, the 2009 event is set to attract a greater number of exhibitors.
The dedicated area will feature the latest technology products, as well as an array of support services and products for the meetings and incentives industry.
Exhibitors already committed to the event, taking place from March 31 – April 2, 2009 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), include CoverEx International, Hive the Solution - EVENTEX, Infosalons, salce l colada AG, SpotMe (the 2007 winner of EIBTM’s WorldWide Technology Watch Award), The London Speaker Bureau, and Ungerboeck Systems International.
Graeme Barnett, GIBTM event director said: “Technology and event services are key to buyers as they are crucial elements of a successful meeting, incentive, conference, and/or large event. Seventy-two percent of visitors to GIBTM 2008 stated that they attend the show to keep up-to-date with the latest technology advances, as well as seeing the newest products and services on offer. We were delighted with the response to this new initiative last year and are particularly pleased with the interest being shown by the industry for 2009.”
This interest is well illustrated by the opinions of those exhibitors already booked for the event.
Christopher Draye, CEO Hive the Solution - EVENTEX, commented, “GIBTM is really the next generation of show in the Gulf Region for meetings professionals,” while Steve Mackenzie, vice president Global Marketing, Ungerboeck Systems International, believes that, “GIBTM gives us an excellent opportunity to meet and network with decision makers and existing clients from the Gulf region and is now a very important part of our trade show calendar each year.”
Complementing the Technology & Event Services Village @ GIBTM will be a comprehensive technology education program. This includes a day dedicated to Technology – Wednesday, April 1 - which will feature a panel of industry experts discussing future technological developments and how to use technology cost-effectively.
