HAVANA, Cuba – German airline Condor will increase the frequency of its flights to Cuba starting this month, with the addition of two new routes for this summer, the Cuban Tourism Ministry (MINTUR) announced today.

First the first time, Condor airlines will launch a direct flight between Munich and Havana; this new route will offer a total of five weekly flights beginning on June 4, MINTUR said in a statement.


According to the German Institute for Service Quality, Condor is awarded the most popular airline among German travelers in 2015, the MINTUR added.

Condor will also increase a weekly connection between Havana and Frankfurt, for a total of four flights per week from this city to Cuba.

The operations include two weekly flights between Holguin (in eastern Cuba) and Frankfurt, three between Varadero and Frankfurt, and one between Varadero and Munich.

With the addition of these new routes, Condor connections increase to 11 weekly flights between Cuba and Europe in the summer of 2016, the MINTUR said.(
