Like most of the rest of the world you only have tears for Gaza! How come you don't have any tears for Israel?
Why don't you even mention the last 8 years of Palestinian rockets into Israel? You don't mention and don't care about all the Israeli civilians men women and children killed and badly wounded, loosing arms and legs.
You also don't mention that Israel has evacuated the whole territory of the Gaza strip over 3 years ago therefore nullifying any reason for continuing acts of violence from the Palestinians. That made no difference whatsoever to the Hamas terrorists. They kept throwing rockets of all kinds at the Israelis over the border.
You of course don't mention that since the beginning of this effort by Israel to stop the Hamas rockets and while they are asking for the world's tears they are continuing to throw around 80 rockets into Israel killing and wounding civilians. You have published outright lies without any comment! If you had checked you would have known that the Israelis attacked only targets that had to do with Hamas offices, infrastructure, rockets storage places, rocket launching places and such. It is not Israel's fault that Hamas conveniently located many such sites inside very dense populated areas. They are doing this on purpose so it's hard to find and when it gets bombed they can cry bloody murder and present catchy photos and footage because civilians were hit. what B.S is it about "We don't even have guns?" they don't need guns they are throwing rockets!!!!! and they do have guns as well and are using them . More B.S about Israel attacking right away when the last cease fire ended. Israel wanted to extend the cease fire, the Hamas refused and said so on their radio and 24 hours before it ended started increasing the steady stream of rockets into Israel.
Unfortunately the Hamas terrorists are still holding a kidnapped soldier, Gilad Shalit whom they have kidnapped on Israeli soil 2.5 years ago. They were holding him as a hostage and using this as a way of extortion, throwing rockets and missiles in varying daily numbers starting with 3 ending with 80, at the towns and villages within their range. For 2.5 years they have been relying on Israeli fear that they (The Hamas) would harm the hostage. Israel has indeed been afraid of that and therefore, even with all the thousands of rockets and missiles over the last 2.5 years Israel has not retaliated. lately the situation became much worse and the towns in that area were suffering and screaming for something to be done. The government, even though its on it's last leg, had no choice but attacking the Hamas terrorists.
Unfortunately, war is always horrible for all involved. The civilian population in Gaza is now suffering in addition to all the towns and villages on the Israeli side who are still showered with many rockets and missiles.
The Hamas terroristic regime does not recognize the state of Israel and claim that the whole land of the state of Israel is theirs. They are trained and supported by Iran and El Qaida . They don't want to live and let live. They said many times loud and clear that all Israelis should leave this land and go back to wherever their ancestors came from in Europe or wherever else. I don't see anyone on a red carpet waiting with open arms for such an event in those places.......
What will it take for you to save some tears for Israel? Obviously millions of people who are vulnerable to rockets falling daily on their head are not enough. People having to spend half their time in bomb shelters is not enough. Dead wounded and damaged people suffering violence for the last 8 years is not enough.
What is enough? Everyone dead? Looks like Israel is not ready to commit suicide for that.
Save your tears. We will do without them.
With your attitude I seriously doubt you will publish this, of course you unfortunately won't have enough room, you only have room for tears for Gaza.

If we talk about UN decree about Israel and its existence on which ever land, still they are taking more than what they are supposed to. There are lands over there called OCCUPIED. Just go and read the history it will tell you.

That territory belongs to Israel and its going to, and to tell you the truth, the Savior came from Israel. Tell you more my ignorant friend, salvation for Christians is from Jews. So nobody is trying to clarify the brutal morder in Gaza right now, but let's look at the whole situtation in general. Israel is the only nation right now who are dealing with muslims. I support them. Also, next time paste a link from websites that have pictures from 9/11 and suicide bombers. One incindent does not condemn the whole Israeli nation.

Over the past 8 years try more like 8000. And by the way many of these supplies come from Iran and are not homemade but real missles.
And this is not to mention all of the suicide bombimgs that were executed within Israel over the years by Hamas militants. Innocent Israeli women and children have been killed by "homemade" hamas bombs in suicide bombings. Does the fact that they were killed by homemade bombs make their deaths any less real?

I congratulate the Israeli government on their decision to go ahead with the military operation despite protests from the International community. Israel has every right to defend its citizens. Why dont we hear such outcry against US when there are collateral damages during their action on Afghanistan and the unwarranted attack on Iraq?
Of Hamas does not want civilian casualties, let them come out in teh open from the densely populated area of Gaza! It is Hams which wants the civilians to be killed as they then can expoit the situation and look innocent in front of the international media.

Why dosn't Hamas or Al Qaeda take up fight against Qatar which was the central command for US operations in Iraq??Yes, keep your mum on this! there was no comment on this from Hamas or any other terrorists or arab countries all of whom opposed the Iraq invasion of the US. The gulf countries provide all the amenities and facilities and priviliges for US and Eropean businesses and their citizens.
When innocent people are killed in Sri Lanka or in Darfur, we do not hear this cry from the Arab countries or Islamic world. Their tears are reserved for Palestine, Kashmir and Chechniya only!! Loss of death for others do not matter to them at all. The greatest hypocrites live here!
I totally agree with this article. Where were the protesters around the world when Israel was bombarded for 8 years with bombs. Innocent civilians were killed then too. But to the rest of the world, whenever it was shown on the news it was always "another middle easter conflict" or those jewish people and palestinians will never get along. Wake up. The Israeli government does not want to kill civilians, it is attacking the cites where the rockets where coming from. It is so typical of muslim men to put forth their children and women and then cry and say they are killing civilians. Well, stop hiding and go fight like men. Quit putting forward the innocent. I cannot believe that right now people are saying that the Israeli government wants a holocaust against Gaza. Really? What about 9 millioin Jews killed in a Holocaust in WWII, no one protested then did they? They just let it happen.
Wake up people and see this war for what it is, Israel's way to defent themselves. Just ask yourself this question: would you be able to live in fear every day knowing that bombs are always coming your way? Well, that is how the Israelis had to live for 8 years. Where were the street protesters then?
Amazing! 80 cheap homemade rockets in comparison to powerful missiles made of components that can cause cancer in even those who survive. How can you be so blind as to not consider the blockade imposed by Israel on food, medicine, power and water on Gaza. Taxes that was to be paid the democratically elected Hamas govt was withheld as was aid that is essential for Gazans to survive.

Sorry, are you kidding us? The truth is the Israeli army is massacring whole families, killing innocent civilians, demolishing schools and basic infrastructure in Gaza.
The story with "shootimg missiles to israel" is a mere pretext for the invasion. Only a few handful of (israeli) people have been killed by these actions, sth. that makes the Israeli aggression grossly inproportionate.
The whole world (including the sane voices in the USA) is condemning the brutal policy of Israel.

Hamas are reaping the benefits of their blind belief in violence. They are the only ones to blame for the misery they brought upon their own people. I am amazed that European politicians are more concerned about protecting and preserving Hamas than upholding the principles on which modern Europe was built: namely the right to live in peace. Yaakov . There is no pillar in Islam that says anything about "waging war and dying as a matyr in the war against those who are of other religions".
Further -none of the five pillars can even be interpreted as such . This is typical....twisting and misrepresenting facts to suit your ends. But let me tell you that no amount of misrepresentation will fool the world into believing that Israel is justified for the massacre in Gaza. I hope and pray that the global demonstrations continue and that they end up having an effect ...specifically ,that the killing in Gaza stops very soon and more importantly, that a free Palestine emerges from this crisis.

I am relieved that you have added Miri Rosethals message. I see many places in the western world that are demonstrating against Israel. This reminds me of a page of the New York Times pinted in 1943 of the horrible Jews in Warsaw Poland that had the nerve to revolt against the Nazis who were demoliting the remnants of the Warsaw ghetto. The larger part of the front page of this edition was full of antisemitic garbage. Most of the demonstrations are ignited by Moslems or those Jews who are ashamed of their heritage. One of the five Pillars of Islam is waging war and dying as a matyr in the war against those who are of other religions. The middle east is considered the center of Islam where Israel has no right being. You can not blame the Hamas for their actions it is the demands of their religion. Then again so is 9/11. Every body is demanding that Israel stop its advance, today the tenth day of the war Hamas has shot so far 40 missles into Israeli cities from Beer Sheva till Yavne. In the city of Ashdod a kindergarten has been obliterated. We are lucky that those children are sitting in an air raid shelter already since the beginning of the operation. If the Gazans would really want peace they would not be shooting daily 50-80 missles into Israel. Yaakov Hillel
