MIAMI, FL – Barfield, AFI KLM E&M’s North American subsidiary mainly specializing in maintenance and component support solutions, has announced the signing of an agreement with JetBlue, a long-standing partner. The agreement covers component repairs on a flight-hour basis, plus component Engineering and Logistics support for the carrier’s 130 A320s and 25 A321s.

Competitive responses to JetBlue’s needs

The signing extends a 10-year working relationship between the two companies. Reassured by the high performance of Barfield’s component support solutions developed for its Airbus fleet, JetBlue has gradually extended the range of part numbers entrusted to Barfield.

Tony Lowery, JetBlue VP Technical Operations, said: “Barfield and JetBlue have a long-standing beneficial relationship. We are pleased to renew this partnership to support our growth as an airline. For the past ten years, Barfield has shown that it can deliver appropriate competitive solutions and this is again the case today with this new contract.”

Barfield CEO Johann Panier added: “JetBlue sets the example as the leading airline in the industry in successfully combining competitive low fares and unmatched customer experiences. We are proud that JetBlue has renewed and extended its trust – a sign of the quality relationship that has existed between our two businesses for the past decade and more. Providing component support for such a large, multi-product fleet is a renewed opportunity for us to demonstrate our high level of reliability and to develop our expertise as a provider of personalized, competitive MRO solutions.”
