London will be at the Carnival in Seychelles, says Claire Holder of Notting Hill Carnival.
Claire Holder of the UK has confirmed that London’s Notting Hill Carnival will again be present at the 22 April Carnaval International de Victoria with a delegation of 50plus.
Notting Hill has been present at the carnival in Seychelles since its very first edition and they are again flying to these tropical islands for the 6th edition of their carnival that is being held from the 22 to the 24 of April.
Seychelles has this year dedicated its 2016 edition of the carnival to Unity and Peace, and British Lawyer Claire Holder who heads the Notting Hill Carnival believes in what Seychelles is doing through its carnival. “The world is today facing turmoil through terrorism, and as we spread the spirit of camaraderie and tolerance, we also address our very own people, reminding everyone that we are but one people enjoying our one Seychelles,” said Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture.
Last year, Notting Hill pulled first place as the best float at the carnival, and they expect the challenge to be much fiercer this year with more carnivals descending on Seychelles for this year’s edition of their carnival.
“We are happy that Notting Hill of the UK will be with us again this year. They are coming with an important contingent of British press in tow, and we are sure they will impress everyone once again,” said Minister St.Ange.
