NEW YORK, NY – JetBlue today announced further expansion of Mint, its award-winning take on the premium experience, to two new Caribbean destinations โ€“ St. Lucia and St. Maarten โ€“ and on additional new routes.

The expansion brings Mint customers to more destinations than ever:

โ€ข New seasonal service between New York and St. Lucia
โ€ข New seasonal service between New York and St. Maarten
โ€ข New seasonal service between Boston and Aruba
โ€ข Continuation of year-round service between New York and Barbados
โ€ข Continuation of seasonal service between New York and Aruba
โ€ข Continuation of seasonal service between Boston and Barbados
โ€ข Launch date set for Boston to Los Angeles on October 20, 2016

The added routes take JetBlueโ€™s Mint to eight destinations. From New York, JetBlue offers Mint to six destinations, and from Boston, JetBlue offers Mint to four destinations. All added flights go on sale this Sunday, April 3, 2016.

โ€œMintโ€™s curated offering and personalized service continues to win over customers who have grown weary of legacy carriersโ€™ tired premium offering,โ€ said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue. โ€œEven better, these Airbus A321s with Mint offer a redesigned core cabin with enhanced entertainment features and more comfortable seating for every customer onboard.โ€

Since launching Mint in June 2014, JetBlue has disrupted the air travel status quo with a thoughtful product and offers exceptional service from specially trained JetBlue crewmembers.

Mint aircraft include private suites, the longest fully-flat bed in the U.S. domestic premium market (a) and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. Customers also enjoy a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu, fresh espresso from the first purposely-built cappuccino machine for a U.S. airline, amenity kits by Birchbox, and dessert from Blue Marble and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery.

JetBlue is the only U.S. airline to operate regular service with lie-flat seating to the Caribbean. Additionally, customers can expect the same Mint experience they love on transcontinental routes, with an added twist: Mint’s northbound menus from Caribbean destinations will feature regionally inspired small plates such as ginger-marinated shrimp, jerk pork tenderloin and pan seared flying fish, curated by a local culinary team. Mint customers on these flights will also be treated to a new welcome drink featuring rum and island flavors.

Southbound flights will offer the acclaimed Mint menu created by New York-based restaurant Saxon + Parole.

Expanding Mint in the Caribbean

JetBlue will introduce seasonal Mint service to St. Luciaโ€™s Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) and St. Maartenโ€™s Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) from JetBlueโ€™s Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Roundtrip flights will begin November 5, 2016, and operate every Saturday through spring 2017. On peak holiday travel dates, JetBlue will operate one roundtrip to each destination daily.

Palm-fringed beaches, miles of unspoiled rainforest and the majestic Piton Mountains are just some of the features that draw travelers to St. Lucia. The island welcomes a variety of travelers seeking relaxation or adventure and features a rich culture with Dutch, French and English influences.

St. Maarten is known for its uniqueness as the smallest landmass in the world to be shared by two sovereign nations. Divided between the Netherlands and France, the 37-square-mile island is home to world-class resorts and calm waters. The island also serves as a gateway to nearby St. Bartโ€™s and Anguilla which are two of the top luxury destinations in the Caribbean.

JetBlue will again offer seasonal roundtrip Mint flights between New York and Arubaโ€™s Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). This service was first introduced in fall 2015 and will operate again this year following a successful first season. On peak holiday travel dates, JetBlue will operate one roundtrip daily.

Mint service between New York and Barbadosโ€™ Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), also first introduced in fall 2015, will continue to operate year-round on Saturdays with daily flights offered on peak holiday travel dates.
