ATLANTA, GA – Delta Air Lines customers are among the fatalities caused by the explosions in the departures area at Brussels’ Zaventem Airport on March 22.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragedy in Brussels. On behalf of all Delta people, I extend our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers to those who lost loved ones in the March 22 tragedy in Brussels. Delta people are grieving with you,” said Ed Bastian, incoming Delta CEO. “Our teams continue to work around the clock to assist customers and provide assistance to family and friends of Delta customers.”

Specially trained Delta Care Team members are in Brussels standing ready and already assisting families and friends of customers impacted by the explosions at the Brussels airport.

The airport remains closed, and Delta continues to work with local authorities to evaluate when airline operations can resume.

Delta’s Reservation Sales team has been working around the clock to reach customers with flights booked to, from or through Brussels to reaccommodate their travel plans. A travel waiver remains in place to assist customers with travel booked to, from or through Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS) and Paris, France (CDG) through March 31 and Brussels, Belgium (BRU) through April 12.
