Tracy Farhad, Executive Director of the Solvang Conference & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) is pleased to announce that SCVB has been honored with a 2015 Silver Adrian Award for Digital Marketing-Best Website Design from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). Farhad remarked: “On behalf of the board of directors of the Solvang Conference & Visitors Bureau and the City of Solvang, we are so proud to receive an HSMAI Silver Adrian Award for the very first time. We share this incredible honor with my staff and the digital designers at Tempest Interactive Media who helped create this award-winning website SolvangUSA.com. It’s a team effort and this international award acknowledges our effort as a strategic destination marketing organization.”
HSMAI is an individual membership organization comprising more than 7,000 members worldwide, committed to growing business for hotels and their partners, and is the industry’s leading advocate for intelligent, sustainable hotel revenue growth.
The HSMAI Adrian Awards began in 1957 and consider entries from every segment of the travel and hospitality industry, including hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies, and destinations, among others. The 2015 winners were selected from a field of more than 1,300 entries by senior industry and media experts. The HSMAI 2015 Adrian Awards black-tie awards gala was held in New York City on February 16, 2016; attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel, and tourism marketing executives from around the world.
The Solvang Conference & Visitors Bureau is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1986 to promote the City of Solvang, its Northern European culture, cuisine, arts and attractions of the village known as “California’s Little Denmark.”
