Famous Hungarian Cafe Scene Reproduced
Hungarian dessert culture has always been an important part of the country’s local cuisine, with the tradition passed on for several generations. Many well-known pastry chefs and their delicious cakes enjoy an international reputation. Those most famous cakes are named after their creators, such as Henrik Kugler . Gerbeaud followed in creator Kugler’s footsteps as a figure who profoundly impacted Hungarian dessert culture. After he created Gerbeaud Slices, he released various enduring signature candies, such as chocolate balls, cherry rum chocolate balls, and “langue de chat” cat tongue chocolate brands.
Gerbeaud Cafe has a long history dating back to 1858. When Henrik Kugler , from the third generation of the dessert era, was still an apprentice, he stayed in 11 major European cities, including Paris , perfecting his artistic expertise and knowledge. Kugler opened his first cafe with an elegant style, serving specialty Chinese and Russian teas and the finest ice cream found in Perth — it quickly became a well-known gathering place.
