ITB for Seychelles: Increasing visibility through press interviews

Seychelles stands out as a tourism destination because of its continued drive to get press coverage. This is today an acceptable fact and one that is recognized by everyone. The island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, never misses an opportunity to spell out to the press the beauty of the Seychelles islands and its key USPs.

At the ITB Tourism Trade in Berlin last week, Minister St.Ange was again giving interviews to a number of televisions, radios and newspapers. Among the television stations was Fadwa Zidi, the Travel Segment Producer from MBC Television of the Middle East who was seeking an update on the islands tourism industry and the benefits for Seychelles the QATAR Airways announcement that it will be launching seven flights per week from Qatar to Seychelles from mid-December this year.

The Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture was also questioned on the coming 2016 edition of the island’s Carnaval International de Victoria, the event that is now referred to as the “Carnival of Carnivals.” The MBC Television Network has also used the opportunity to confirm that they will be covering the carnival by sending to Seychelles a known reporter accompanied by a television crew.
