INDIA (eTN) – Students of India’s hospitality industry have been advised to look for stability in their careers so that they can rise and make a significant contribution to the companies they are working with.

This advice was given by Dr. Amit Modi, Vice President of The Grand New Delhi hotel on March 11 at the annual day function of the Banarasidas Chandiwala educational institutes.

Modi, who is also a chartered accountant, reminded the students that today there are many opportunities in the hospitality industry, with most foreign chains also having a presence in the country. The Grand has made a mark in various segments of the industry, such as MICE. There is no short cut for hard work, he said, adding that he had been able to contribute to the company in the 14 years he has been there. The chain has grown from 3 hotels to 11 now, with ambitious expansion plans.

Modi told the students that they were lucky to have so many opportunities for jobs or for carving out their own life path.

Modi distributed certificates to winners of the various competitions and courses. Chandiwala has a tradition of inviting industry professionals who have made a mark as chief guests for its events.
