DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Executive, the private jet charter division of award-winning Qatar Airways, will be exhibiting at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo this week demonstrating its commitment to the vibrant Middle East business aviation market.

The three-day event will take place between 8-10 March at Al Bateen Executive Airport – the first dedicated business jet airport in the Middle East and North Africa.

Qatar Executive will be participating with an exclusive, dedicated chalet and will be showcasing its brand new Gulfstream G650ER on static display, giving visitors the opportunity to see the luxurious interior of the world’s fastest ultra-long range business jet, which is highly sought-after among the global travelling elite due to its phenomenal range capabilities, industry leading cabin technology and unparalleled passenger comforts.

Qatar Executive’s G650ER aircraft can easily fly non-stop from the Middle East to North America or from destinations in Asia to Africa – further, faster than any other jet of its kind – and is perfectly suited for those whose travel needs include flights halfway around the globe.

Having first been presented at the Bahrain Airshow in January, and then in February to the travelling elite at the Singapore Airshow, Qatar Executive’s G650ER will now make its first public appearance in the United Arab Emirates.

The luxurious aircraft promises to draw a great deal of attention from trade visitors and VIPs, who will be able to take tours of the business jet, which features a two-cabin configuration and seats up to 13 passengers. Seats convert into fully flat beds, so that seven guests can confortably sleep on board.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker commented: “Qatar Executive demands nothing less than the best for its discerning clientele and the G650ER, as the technologically most advanced business jet available in the market, enables us to offer a superior product to our valued customers.

“Since we welcomed our new Gulfstream G650ER into our dynamic private fleet, we have received an outstanding market response, as the aircraft meets all requirements of VIPs and world leaders in terms of range, flexibility and performance.”

The G650ER’s cabin interior features a classic-contemporary style, combining understated luxury and timeless elegance through a natural colour palette ranging from earthy tones of the walnut brown wooden veneers to the china-white leather seating and finest woollen Loro Piana fabrics with soft brown fishbone patterns.

Every detail has been taken care of, down to the fine bone china tableware by the German manufacturer Dibbern, crystal glassware by the world-renowned glass manufacturer Schott Zwiesel, and fine silver flatware by the French label Christofle, ensuring a sophisticated atmosphere, where customers can effortlessly feel at home.

The G650ER’s cabin is not only comfortable but contains the most advanced technology including satellite communications, high-speed internet, wireless local area network and Gulfstream’s Cabin Management System, which allows passengers to use their own personal electronic devices to control audio, video, lighting, temperature, window shades and other cabin functions.

The interior cabin has 16 panoramic windows, the largest in business aviation, which are perfectly positioned so that every passenger has their own window.

Further stand-out features of the Gulfstream G650 are the fact that it has the lowest equivalent cabin altitude of any business jet and the cabin air is fully replenished every two minutes.

The G650ER can travel 7,500 nm/13,890 km at Mach 0.85 and 6,400 nm/11,853 km at Mach 0.90 – so customers can travel at 90 per cent of the speed of sound.

The G650ER complements Qatar Executive’s existing long-range fleet of eight modern Bombardier aircraft, including three Challenger 605s, four Global 5000s, a Global XRS, and a 40-seat Airbus A319 All-Premium Class aircraft, all available for worldwide charter.
