Stephane Vilar has been appointed as the new general manager of the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa located on the island of Silhouette. Mr. Vilar, who was appointed last month, reports directly to the cluster general manager of the Hilton Seychelles Hotels, Claus Steiner.

The new general manager of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa has over 20 years of experience working with Hilton Worldwide. He started his career at Hilton in Cannes, France, then moving to other parts of the world such as Spain, Singapore, and Mauritius. Mr. Vilar has also held a managerial position in Seychelles at the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa.

In 2012, he took on the role of general manager for the first time and this was at the Hilton Malabo, before moving to DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Aqaba in Jordan.

Mr. Steiner said the Hilton Seychelles Hotels team is proud to have Mr. Vilar on board, and described him as a resort expert who can help to bring the resort to greater heights and lead the team well.

The Hilton group has described Mr. Vilar as a great asset to Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, and his hands-on management techniques and extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry.

Taking his role as the new head of the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, Mr. Vilar said the tourism establishment is a unique and beautiful property, and is looking forward to working with the team there to keep providing leisure holiday experiences for the guests.

Mr. Vilar paid a courtesy call on the island’s Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, and PS Anne Lafortune at the Ministry’s ESPACE Building offices on Monday accompanied by Claus Steiner, the Hilton Hotel’s Cluster Manager in Seychelles. “We were happy to welcome Mr. Vilar as the new GM of Hilton Seychelles Labriz. In welcoming him to Seychelles, we were also able to remind him as we do with every arriving GM that he needs to abide by the rules and regulations of Seychelles. We also spoke of the expectations by our GMs to respect the people of Seychelles as they discharge their day-to-day duties,” said Minister St.Ange as he reminded Mr. Steiner and Mr. Vilar that his door is always open to trade members.
