Minister Alain St.Ange has congratulated the Owners and Management of Constance Lemuria Seychelles for the re-investment they made into their resort property.

Bruno Le Gac, the General Manager of the Constance Lemuria Seychelles, this week presented to Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, with the resort’s $11 million upgrading program. The Constance Lemuria Seychelles with its designer Golf Course was officially opened some 16 years ago and has maintained its place as one of the leading resorts in Seychelles.

Also present at the meeting were Captain Guy Adam, one of the Directors of the Resort’s holding company, and Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

“We saw the start of the works on, and we were impressed by what is the fresh appearance that the burst of color is bringing to the resort,” said Minister St.Ange when he was shown the first set of rooms being upgraded. The resort was contracted at a time when it was in fashion to have construction in dark varnished wood, thatched roof set out in a green landscape. Today, that era has changed and our new concept brings in a burst of color into the resort,” said Bruno Le Gac, the GM of the Resort.

In a presentation in the G.M.’s Office, Minister St.Ange saw plans of the project before visiting the first set of rooms. “Our tourism industry is working and you have today enough faith to re-invest in your complex. We are encouraged by your commitment in our country’s tourism industry and we assure you that we shall continue to stand by our private sector partners, large and small, to ensure they all reap the benefits from their investment in the industry that remains the pillar of the Seychelles economy,” Minister strange said.

The upgrading works are set to be completed by November 2016.
