You know the cruise industry is hurting when even Disney Cruise Line begins offering hefty discounts.

The ever-popular operator today announced a “Kids Free” special that's good for most three-night Disney Wonder sailings between Jan. 22 and May 28, 2009.

Disney says children 12 and under will sail free on the ship when accompanied by two full-fare paying guests within the same cabin. The offer is valid for a variety of cabin categories, though there are a limited number of spaces set aside for the deal on each cruise.

Disney also says parents will have to pay applicable government taxes and fees such as port charges for their children, even though the cruise tickets for the children will be free.

The "Kids Free" deal is available through travel agents or directly from Disney at disneycruise.com/kidsfree. Mention or input booking code “FREE” when making the reservation.
