More time at IMEX European Hosted Buyer Program

The IMEX Group today announced that it is extending its European hosted buyer program for IMEX in Frankfurt 2016 to become a three day (two night) program.

The IMEX Group today announced that it is extending its European hosted buyer program for IMEX in Frankfurt 2016 to become a three day (two night) program. This follows consultations with hosted buyers who expressed a desire to stay longer at the exhibition given its scope and size.

New this year, every European buyer can extend their visit and opt in advance for a two night program. This will allow them to spend more time at the show, give them more time to complete their business objectives, and more time to take part in networking events and education sessions. This new option is in addition to the one day and two day programs, as well as the long-haul hosting package of three to four nights, all of which have become well-established over the last 13 years and makes the IMEX hosted buyer program highly flexible.

Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, explained: โ€œWith 3,500 exhibitors at IMEX, almost 200 educational sessions and a similar number of networking events, we recognize that itโ€™s impossible to take full advantage of the show in a short space of time. Many hosted buyers told us that they wanted to be able to get more business done at IMEX, but also that they wanted more time to walk the aisles, soak up the inspiration and attend educational events. By offering buyers the opportunity to spend more time at the show we will be ensuring that their time out of the office is more productive, as well as being less rushed.

โ€œFlexibility has always been extremely important to us and we understand and recognize that each buyerโ€™s personal and business needs are different and so we aim to make each visit as productive and tailored as possible.โ€

One of the additional ways in which the IMEX hosted buyer program stands out for its flexibility is the appointment system, which gives the buyers great control over the exhibitors they meet and when they meet them. The IMEX system gives buyers the power to choose the exact exhibitors that match their needs for individual appointments, as well as the opportunity to book into stand presentations for more general fact-finding about destinations or hotels.

These latest extensions to the program follow additions in recent years including a pre-show concierge service for first time hosted buyers, a pre-show webinar series for buyers and intermediaries, plus hosted buyer lounge improvements. Further enhancements for 2016 will be announced shortly.

Hosted buyer registration for IMEX in Frankfurt 2016 is now open.
