The United States Department of State just issued a worldwide travel alert. The reason: Increased terrorist threats. This is a real blow for the world’s largest industry, travel and tourism.
Ongoing terror threats and ISIS ongoing war against travel and tourism with recent attacks in Lebanon, Tunisia, France and Belgium is making this world a less safe place for tourism.
The U.S. alert reads:
“Current information suggests that ISIL (aka Da’esh), al Qa’ida, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and non-conventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests. The Travel Alert expires on February 24, 2016.”
