CALGARY, Canada – For a record sixth time, Waterstone Human Capital has named WestJet as having one of Canada’s 10 most-admired corporate cultures. No other company has received this honour as many times as WestJet, which is also an original inductee into Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures Hall of Fame in 2009.

“WestJetters are very proud of the caring culture each of us contributes to every day, and we’re honoured to be recognized along with other great companies who know just how important strong corporate cultures are to success,” said Gregg Saretsky, WestJet President and Chief Executive Officer. “I thank all WestJetters for their commitment to our culture.”

Canada’s 10 Most-Admired Corporate Cultures program, now in its ninth year, recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having a culture that has helped them enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.

“In our work at Waterstone, we partner with leaders of high-growth organizations to help them recruit for fit and provide counsel on human capital issues to drive performance,” said Marty Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. “What’s so impressive about this diverse list of 2015 winners is their shared belief that culture is their competitive advantage – they know that building and sustaining a great culture is a significant asset that drives performance. The 2015 winning organizations have shown diverse strategies in achieving inspirational cultures that have measureable results.”

WestJet was among the first Canadian companies to receive this honour during the program’s inaugural year in 2005, repeating in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011. The airline is one of just seven Canadian companies in the program’s hall of fame.
