Details of the first ever Global Event Summit were announced today at IMEX America in Las Vegas.

Details of the first ever Global Event Summit were announced today at IMEX America in Las Vegas. The Summit, a partnership between The International Special Events Society (ISES), VisitScotland Business Events and the IMEX Group will take place in April 2016 and see a number of senior event professionals from North America and Europe attending IMEX in Frankfurt before heading on to Scotland for three days of high level debate.

Jodi Collen CSEP, International President of ISES comments: โ€œWe are very excited to be announcing the launch of the first ever Global Event Summit here during IMEX America. This is set to be a landmark event in 2016 and we are very grateful for the support of our valued partners, IMEX Group and Visit Scotland.โ€

The summit will be held in the Capital, Edinburgh, and include trips to Scotlandโ€™s largest City, Glasgow, home of the SSE Hydro, host to MTV Europe Awards in 2014, as well as the world renowned Gleneagles Resort, host of the 2014 Ryder Cup.

Head of Business Events at VisitScotland, Neil Brownlee, says: โ€œThis event perfectly matches our desire for Scotland to be at the very heart of the global event industry. Scotland is the Perfect Stage for events of all shapes and sizes. We have a highly valued and active relationship with both ISES and IMEX and are delighted to be hosting this significant event during the Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design in 2016.โ€
