Three Turkish police officers were killed by Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants overnight in a bomb attack. The event happened while the officers were traveling inside an armored vehicle along a highway in southeast Turkey.
Not only the three officers were murdered but another officer was also wounded in the attack.
In 1984, the PKK, designated a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and European Union, started its separatist movement and an estimate of at least 40,000 people have fallen victims to the conflict.
