DALLAS, TX – Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation, is gearing up for a busy Labor Day weekend, with more than 200,000 customers expected to travel to more than 2,300 destinations across the United States.

An estimated 35.5 million Americans will hit the road for Labor Day weekend, according to an estimate by the U.S. Travel Association, the trade group for the nation’s travel industry.

“We expect the highest demand to be on Friday, Sept. 4 and Monday Sept. 7, as customers travel to and from their holiday and vacation destinations,” said Andy Kaplinsky, chief commercial officer, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “We encourage customers to buy tickets now, to ensure that they get a seat on their desired schedule at the lowest fares.”

Greyhound buses feature modern amenities such as free onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets, guaranteed seating, leather seats and extra legroom. The first bag can be checked for free, with the second bag only $15, allowing customers to save their money during the holiday weekend. Customers also can track the real-time location of their bus and when it will arrive at their destination with Greyhound’s BusTracker feature on mobile and Greyhound.com.

“We want to ensure that our customers’ experience with us this holiday weekend is as hassle-free as possible,” said Kaplinsky. “Customers can simply sit back, relax and enjoy a safe, comfortable ride while traveling on Greyhound for Labor Day weekend.”
