NEW DELHI, India – To promote Cruise Tourism in India, the United Arab Emirate has launched “Cruise Tourism Roadshow India-2015″ which was presided by UAE Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai Cruise Tourism director Jamal Humaid Al Falasi. The CTRI 2015 started in Bengaluru, followed by Chennai, Mumbai, and concluded in Delhi. This is the second tourism promotion convoy to India, the first one being in 2012. The CTRI has been organised to provide both countries opportunities, tailored to meet the market needs.
It comprises tourism representatives from national airline companies, travel and tourism groups and hotels. At the concluding conference held in New Delhi on August 7, Mr Jamal introduced his plans to promote cruise tourism in India.
He presented the audience with tourist attractions and facilities provided by Dubai Tourism which included air connectivity to low cost accommodation and cruise liners. Many interested companies including Costa, AIDA and Royal Caribbean, introduced their packages at the event. ”With the introduction of multiple entry visas for those the cruise at just 50 dollars, Dubai is hoping to attract one million cruise passengers by 2020.
