A Japan Airlines passenger plane from Malaysia became stuck on the runway shortly after landing at Tokyo's main airport.

Flight 724 came to halt near a taxiway Sunday morning and had to be towed to a point where passengers and crew could safely alight.

The airport authorities closed down the B runway for 45 minutes following the incident, which they suspect was caused by a gear malfunction.
