A group of students of the School of Music in Seychelles amazed their parents, friends, and teachers last Friday with great performances they gave in a one-and-a-half-hour show.

Students used instruments such as piano, strings, woodwind, percussion, and other ensembles from classical to traditional, showcasing what they have learned during their sessions at the School of Music.

The period of June-July is the end of session for the School of Music, and the students take their international exams then the ABRSM (Associated Board of Royal Society of Music).

Right after that period, the school holds a show to showcase some of the pieces they have prepared for the benefit of the studentsโ€™ parents and also to share the experiences of learning to play an instrument to other students who have not yet made this choice.

This annual program is an open class for parents and friends of registered music students and is a way of giving students a chance to perform in front of an audience.

Those present had the chance to enjoy performances with all-time favorites being interpreted such as Light My Fire, YMCA, We Will Rock You, and Right Here Waiting for You.

The teachers who have worked with the students are Francois Victor, Jerry Souris, Antoine Souris, Li Yuxing, Maxwell Pool, Chad Cedras, and Luigi Ghiani.
