“The East3Route concept is one which sets the framework for Africa to work with Africa.” The Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Alain St.Ange, echoed these words at the end of the East3Route event which took place in Seychelles last weekend.
At the end of the three-day event, Minister St.Ange hosted a lunch at the Cerf Island Resort for the representatives of the East3Route who were in Seychelles over the weekend.
The four East3Route member countries are Seychelles, Mozambique, KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa, and Swaziland.
“If we can do it between four countries, this spirit will grow, and we will be able to see Africa working with Africa. Having all of you here in Seychelles is the right step forward,” Minister St.Ange said.
“One decision taken is that this East3Route body needs to have more action taken, and with this we are really moving in the right direction. The unity between the four of us stands stronger than ever, and we all have this vision of seeing tourism benefiting our four countries,” Minister St.Ange said.
The Creole buffet served at Cerf Island Resort restaurant which overlooks the vast ocean, was prepared by Chef Diolan Barra and his Sous-chef Lee.
Prior to the lunch, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry with KwaZulu-Natal and a second one with Swaziland.
The agreement is aimed at setting opportunities for commercial exchanges between these countries, and all representatives of the member countries were present to witness the signing.
