Malaysian Director General of Civil Aviation Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said that a piece of debris found on a beach near the town of Saint-Denis on Sunday morning on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean had nothing to do with the investigation involving the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, according to an AP report.

Rahman is leading the investigation in France on the analysis of the first piece of debris that washed up on Reunion Island’s shore – an airplane. He said he checked with the Civil Aviation Authority as well as people from Reunion Island, and the second piece of debris has nothing to do with an aircraft, but is actually a domestic ladder.
