Everything is bigger in Texas, right? So what a perfect location for a space tourism center, aptly named Spaceport Houston. Once constructed, this capital city in Texas will house the tenth commercial spaceport in the US.

Texas is no stranger to space travel. Houston is home to the Johnson Space Center, and the Apollo space program was located here as well, along with every single Space Shuttle mission in America.

Spaceport Houston will be located at Ellington Airport, and one of its future purposes is to house a design and solutions lab for the University of Houston.

The next step is for project officials to secure 80 private partnerships so the facility can be built, as well as to obtain a Launch Site License from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
