MUMBAI, India – JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar brings home the best of the exotic flavors from the streets of Thailand from 22nd July to 1st August 2015 . The Thai street food festival would be held in association with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The festival will not only showcase an array of authentic and sumptuous Thai cuisine but will recreate a cultural experience for the guest that goes beyond just food. Chef Rungtiwa Sorlae, a connoisseur of Thai cuisine and the Thai specialty Chef at JW Cafรฉ, would spearhead the preparations at the festival.

The food festival will offer guests a visual delight as well as an explosion of unique flavors for the palate. Chef Rungtiwa Sorlae has meticulously designed a menu with a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across Thailand. Complemented by fresh spices, the buffet and live counters will feature dishes like steam fish in banana leaf, stir fried sugar peas with shitake mushroom Massaman curry, Southern Thai yellow curry, Thai pancake in coconut milk, chicken ginger rice, steam noodles with ka chay curry, crispy pork with kale leaves and crispy Thai pancake stuffed with salted coconut.

Speaking on this association, Ms. Soraya Homchuen, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, said, “Food is very central to the Indian traveler’s experience in Thailand. Most travelers, except perhaps for those with religious dietary restrictions, are very much impressed by Thai cuisine and like to experiment with as much as possible with every subsequent trip to Thailand. So great is their fascination with Thai food that many even learn the art of authentic Thai cuisine through lessons undertaken during their stay in Thailand. We are glad to bring our food heritage in a form of a food festival for the people of Mumbai.”

During this time, 15 June to 15 August 2015, one can also experience the Amazing Thailand grand sale in which most of the outlets will be giving a discount up to 8o% in major destinations in Thailand.

Commenting on the festival, Chef Vivek Bhatt – Executive Chef, JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar, said, “Thai cuisine is exotic and distinct with a perfect balance of strong aroma and varied flavors. We wish to bring the best out of the cuisine through the unmatched knowledge and expertise in Thai culture and cuisine by Chef Rungtiwa Sorlae, offering our guests a truly unique and memorable experience.”
