Airline employee sets woman's dog free on Portland tarmac

An Alaska dog owner is looking for answers after Horizon Airlines lost her dog. Janelle Kosten and her dog were on a layover at Portland International Airport Thursday when a worker opened the dog's kennel door.

The dog ran off across the tarmac before the employee could get a leash on it.

Horizon Airlines said the employee violated company by opening the kennel door.

Kosten has spent hours searching for her dog, but says she will soon have to return home.
