There are many reasons to see Paris; however, for the shopaholic there is one major motivation: One Nation Shopping Mall. Located a short 30 minute drive from downtown Paris and 10 minutes from the Palace Versailles, it features the best bargains for designer brands on the planet. I can stroll through Bloomingdales, and look for bargains at Century 21 but NOTHING beats the opportunities to buy fabulous designer clothes at ridiculously low prices than this location. I have encouraged Pier Tognazzini, the International Sales Manager for the Mall to organize weekend shopping holidays for www.eturbonews.com readers, but so far I have not received a schedule.

The shops are as elegant at the stores on New Yorkโ€™s Madison and the prices better than a card holder sale at Bloomingdaleโ€™s. The atmosphere and staff are all about customer service. Upon arrival, check-in at the Personal Shopper office and get information on current bargains as well as the central tax refund option. Carrying bags and baggage that intrude on the shopping experience? No problem, customer service will check them to enable clutter-free browsing and buying. Free Wi Fi is available โ€“ just ask for the login code.

There are over 90 major French and global labels (plus the Galeries Lafayette Outlet) represented in this attractive center. The mall features two floors of awesome discounts that include current season fashions with prices that are 30-70 percent below retail! Brands include Mango, Desigual, Armani, Michael Kors, Chloe, Kenzo, Ralph Lauren, Guess, Kenzo, Balenciaga and Christian Lacroix.

A Family Affair

Catinvest, with family member Philippe Catteau as the c-suite executive responsible for One Nation, invested 107 million euros (US$140 million) to develop the mall. Although the area surrounding the mall looked (to me) like a long way from potential consumers and in the middle of nowhere, research determined that the outlet is located in an area with 11 million people living within a one hour drive with a disposable income of 45,470 euros (US$58,175) per year (considered the highest in France).
