French-Italian hotelier appointed General Manager of PARKROYAL Yangon

SINGAPORE โ€“ Pan Pacific Hotels Group is pleased to appoint Jean-Marc Poli as the new General Manager of PARKROYAL Yangon in Myanmar.

A widely lauded hotel, PARKROYAL Yangon has been named Myanmarโ€™s Leading Business Hotel at the World Travel Awards for the past three years. Located at the fringe of the Central Business District, the 333-room hotel is a 30-minute drive from Yangon International Airport and within walking distance to iconic landmarks such as Shwedagon Pagoda, Bogyoke Aung San Market and City Hall.

Scheduled to complete an 18-month long phased refurbishment in July, PARKROYAL Yangon now presents elegant public spaces, light-filled guestrooms, flexible event facilities as well as exciting dining and entertainment concepts that include an all-day dining restaurant, new Si Chuan Dou Hua Chinese restaurant, the ever-popular Shiki-Tei Japanese restaurant and trendy dance venue Club 5.

Jean-Marc will be responsible for the operations and all-round performance of PARKROYAL Yangon. In his role, he will also have oversight of PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw, a picturesque 90-room hotel which opened last April in Myanmarโ€™s capital.

Of dual French and Italian nationality, Jean-Marc brings to Pan Pacific Hotels Group 28 years of industry experience across Europe and Asia, with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage operations. He has enjoyed successful tenures with established hotel companies such as Hilton International, Swissรดtel Hotels & Resorts, Meritus Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels and Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels in numerous countries including Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, Italy and Maldives.

Most recently, Jean-Marc was General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Costa de Sol, Spain where he led the 145-unit property to attain stronger financial profitability, operational efficiency and improved guest satisfaction rankings.
