Hawaiian Airlines drops Sendai flights

Filling only about one-third of the seats on its flights to Sendai, Japan, Hawaiian Airlines has announced it will stop flying to this city in September of this year.

Filling only about one-third of the seats on its flights to Sendai, Japan, Hawaiian Airlines has announced it will stop flying to this city in September of this year. In an official statement, however, the airline blamed a weak yen on the flight cut.

Hawaiian airlines originally flew nonstop between Honolulu and Sapporo, beginning in 2012, then added the stop in Sendai the following year.

The airline will continue after September to fly nonstop between Honolulu and Sapporo.
