The International Center for Prison Study has been tracking the other population of this globe – the population incarcerated.
The result is somewhat surprising. The largest number of prisoners in relationship to the countrie’s population is a travel and tourism paradise, the Republic of the Seychelles, followed by the United States of America.
Also in the top ten are countries with a very active travel and tourism industry: Cuba, Rwanda, Russia, Thailand, and Belize.
China is number 124, Germany 168, South Africa, Brazil 36, UK: 99
The lowest incarceration rate in countries with a tourism industry is San Marino number 222 and Liechtenstein 119 or India 212
