BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) continues to operate regular commercial flights to destinations in Japan, as there is no impact from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau’s (JCAB) announcement prohibiting Thailand’s chartered flights entering Japan.
Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, THAI President, said that as a result from ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP), the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) recently announced that Thailand’s chartered flights were not permitted to enter Japan. This action however, does not impact regular commercial flights to Japan, and all THAI regular commercial flights continue to operate as scheduled according to the previously approved 2015 Summer Traffic Program (TPI); though, the prohibition impacts two of THAI”s chartered flights – to Komatsu and to Hiroshima, during 11 and 15 April 2015.
