The Yokohama Convention and Visitors Bureau announced March 30 it has compiled a Thai-language version of the “Yokohama Official Visitors’ Guide” website to help Thai tourists enjoy Yokohama.

In 2014, the number of Thai people who visited Japan grew 45% from the previous year to more than 650,000 (Japan National Tourist Organization statistics), and the number of tourists from Thailand who visit Yokohama is increasing sharply. By introducing the attractions of Yokohama in the Thai language, the bureau aims to have Thai guests spend their time in Yokohama more comfortably.

Based on the “Yokohama Official Visitors’ Guide” English website, the new Thai version makes exploring Yokohama easier than ever, visually oriented and responsive to various mobile devices. The websites contain a comprehensive collection of articles and photos on activities, accommodation options, events guide, tourist information and much more.

The Yokohama Convention and Visitors Bureau also published a Thai-language version of the official guide map in 2014. Featuring an easy-to-see map with illustrations, a list of popular tourist attractions and access information, the guide map is a perfect complement to the website to stroll around the city. It is available for free at tourist information centers.
