RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) announced today the company has
reentered the market in Eugene, Oregon, following the conversion of a
hotel there. The Red Lion Inn & Suites Eugene converted to the brand
overnight.

“The Red Lion name has held such a prominent place in Eugene for half a
century,” said Lal Sidhu of US Hotel, LLC., who signed a franchise
license agreement with RLHC earlier this month. “We think the brand
will play well for our location.” The owners will invest substantially
in the guest rooms and the fitness center at the hotel. Sidhu also
announced AA Hotel Management Co. will manage the property.

The Red Lion Inn & Suites Eugene, 599 E Broadway, offers complimentary
breakfast, a fitness center, a business center, Wi-Fi and guest
laundry. The hotel is located just one major block from the main
entrance to the University of Oregon. Eugene is known for its outdoor
adventure activities, the Eugene Ale Trail, which guests can run, bike
or hike, and the South Willamette Valley Wine Tour.

“Eugene has been an important market for Red Lion and we are looking
forward to working with these owners to provide a great stay for our
guests,” said RLHC Chief Franchise Officer Brian Quinn.

RLHC officials have said the company plans to grow to 100 hotels in 100
weeks. The company currently has 56 hotels, 38 of which are franchised.

Red Lion Hotels Corporation is a hospitality company primarily engaged
in the franchising, management and ownership of midscale and upscale
hotels. Established in 1959, the company has more than 50 hotels system
wide and also owns and operates an entertainment and event ticket
distribution business. For more information, please visit the company’s
