Rajasthan, one of the major destinations for tourists visiting India, has a new body to overlook tourism promotion.
The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) is headed by Bhim Singh of Rajasthan Tours, a well-known tourism industry leader, and winner of several awards and honors.
The federation has the backing and support of other associations, hotels and tour operators.
In recent years, tourism to this colorful Indian state, both for domestic and international tourism, went down. The new federation will look into how to reverse that trend.
The other office bearers of the FHTR include Sunil Gupta and Khalid Khan as vice presidents and Gyan Prakash as general secretary.
