MOSCOW, Russia – Lindner Hotels & Alpentherme Leukerbad 4* Swiss resort passed into the management of the Russian company HELIOPARK Hotels & Resorts.

MOSCOW, Russia – Lindner Hotels & Alpentherme Leukerbad 4* Swiss resort passed into the management of the Russian company HELIOPARK Hotels & Resorts. The company was an expert during the realization of business deal with new owner. The contract for the management of the complex between HELIOPARK and the new owner was concluded for 15 years.

Previously the resort was owned by a German enclosed fund and operated by the well-known international company Lindner Hotels & Resorts. The new owner of the hotel handed it over control to the Russian hotel chain that started realization of the project (the market research, development of the promotion and marketing strategy etc.) from the spring of 2014.

The famous ski and thermal SPA located in the heart of Leukerbad at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level and consists of three buildings: the main building โ€œDependance de Franceโ€ (built in 1845), the hotel โ€œMaison Blancheโ€ (built in 1645) and Walliser Alpentherme & SPA Leukerbad that has the walking tunnel from the hotels for the convenience of guests. The total area of all buildings is about 25 thousand square meters.

The popular resort is working and is open to guests at the moment. At the same time during the year HELIOPARK planned to complete re-branding and reconstruction of the resort with international standards of 5*. Now the hotels include 136 rooms of different categories, which will be increased to 160-170 rooms. The cost of reconstruction is estimated at about 8 million Swiss francs.
Development of the resort is planned to lead in the direction of health tourism. This segment has high potential, showing the highest growth dynamics – 20-25% per year. This is a strategic direction for HELIOPARK. Previously, the company has taken the management of the resort “Kemeri” in Jurmala, Latvia, which plans to begin operating in the autumn of 2017.

HELIOPARK Hotels & Alpentherme Leukerbad is located on its own thermal spring. In Europe’s largest medical and health center alpine wellness programs, traditional Chinese medicine with acupuncture, ayurveda, sports medicine, osteopathy, physiotherapy and age medicine are presented.

About 3.9 million Liters of thermal water with a temperature of 51ยฐC enter into Leukerbad every day. Thermal springs resort known for its miraculous power since the days of ancient Rome. The uniqueness of the wellness center is its infrastructure: indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a water temperature of 36ยฐC, the Roman-Irish baths with a courtyard, thermal fountains, different types of saunas, relaxation rooms, massage area, restaurants and shops. Europe’s largest health center every day can take more than 1000 guests, about 450 people can be in the complex at the same time. Wellness treatments are useful for the therapy of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiac disorders, respiratory diseases, and many other areas.

The panorama of mountains and chalet-style building give the special atmosphere for the quests.
