PHUKET, Thailand – Indigo Pearl is proud to announce the appointment of Belgium born, Mr. David Ippersiel as executive assistant manager in charge of Sales & Marketing of the distinctive lifestyle resort.

Mr. Ippersiel said, “It is wonderful to be back in Thailand and especially to be part of the team of such an inspiring resort. The Indigo Pearl is unique in its concepts and design, but it has also managed to keep a traditional Thai flair to it. No wonder it has already received many accredited awards after such a short period of time.

With the current worldwide situation, we all have to put our efforts together to drive more traffic to Thailand, and distinctive destination resorts such as Indigo Pearl help establish Phuket as one of the leading tourism destinations in the world. I very much look forward to working closely with everyone in the resort and to take it to the next level.”

With 10 years of experience in various regional director of sales and marketing positions for Marriott in the Middle East, Eastern and Central Europe, and in total 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ippersiel brings with him a wealth of knowledge to contribute to Indigo Pearl’s phenomenal growth and popularity in the luxury lifestyle resort market.

Ippersiel opened his own boutique hotel, Hotel Café Pacific in the heart of Brussels, with his partner in 2006, which he has successfully positioned in major European markets, and in two years, Hotel Café Pacific now ranks 15th out of 199 hotels in Brussels.

After graduating from the prestigious Hotel Management School of Lausanne, Ippersiel started his career at hospitality’s front line in major hotel chains in Lausanne, Hong Kong and Singapore. His first management role was in Shangri-La Singapore as an operations analyst, where he was involved in special projects in improving service standards. Ippersiel has since been involved in various sales and management roles in Banyan Tree Phuket, JW Marriott in Dubai, Renaissance Dubai and Marriott International’s chain of hotels in the Western European region.

On the new addition to the team, Mr. Arnaud Girodon, general manager of Indigo Pearl said, “David joins our team at Indigo Pearl and brings with him vast experience and knowledge in the hotel sales and marketing field. We confidently anticipate that he will lead our sales team dynamically and drive the growth in Indigo Pearl’s sales, all the while strengthening the brand’s name and positioning – which has already achieved so many awards and accolades to date, but most importantly our positive guest feedback. We welcome him and his family and are delighted to have them with us here at Indigo Pearl.”
