The Busoga Kingdom will showcase the tourism attractions of the region east of the River Nile in the upcoming second Busoga Tourism Expo, to be held at the Buluza Show Ground in Iganga District.
The two-day event, besides promoting adventure and culture tourism activities, will also see the opening of the newly-established Nnhenda cultural site, which aims to explain to visitors the rich history of the kingdom.
Jinja, where the source of the River Nile is found, has been dubbed โEast Africaโs Adventure Capitalโ for the range of adrenalin-pumping action, be it white water rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, quad biking, or else taking less hair-raising activities like a horse back safari along the banks of the Nile or a cycling trip cross country.
The tourism show is supported by a number of corporate sponsors and is expected to be attended by thousands of local residents as well as visitors from the capital, Kampala, which is just over 80 kilometers away from the venue.
