POWER-GEN Middle East 2009, the region’s premier conference and exhibition for the power and water industries, has announced the preliminary conference program for the forthcoming event in Bahrain from February 17-19, 2009.

An excellent line up of speakers and industry professionals will deliver presentations on a range of topics and subjects covering the power and water industries, including spotlights on countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and Bahrain. A keynote presentation will be given by Dr Fatih Birol, chief economist of the Paris-based International Energy Agency.

The Technical Power Track includes discussion on the very latest innovations in gas turbine design and manufacture, as well as the issue of flexible operation of power plants. Presentations include contributions from:
