Fort Worth - American Airlines has reversed course on in-flight Internet access to pornography sites.

The carrier said yesterday it is working with technology provider Aircell to allow filtering of its nascent Internet service to block the sites.

American, the nation's largest carrier, said it has not received reports of passengers viewing "inappropriate content" on the in-flight service, but it said filtering is "an appropriate measure to take" and is a response to complaints from flight attendants and passengers.

The airline launched Internet service in August on some of its Boeing 767 jets that fly between New York and San Francisco and Los Angeles and Miami in a six-month trial.
